Optimizing for Mobile

Because every Clover website is responsive, your content flows naturally and is presented clearly on any device, including the latest smartphones and tablets. Here are a couple of things to keep in mind when designing your website for mobile viewing.

Mobile Galleries

When you add a Gallery Section to any page of your website, there are special options you can use to make your mobile gallery unique from the desktop version, while still looking incredible. You can add images to your gallery that will specifically show up on your mobile site and there are special sizing options to make your photos look great on screens of all sizes. You can learn more about adding photos to a Gallery Section here.

Using Line Breaks

Because the size difference between a mobile screen and a desktop display can be pretty drastic, keep in mind that your text will wrap and appear differently on a mobile device. It's important to avoid using too many line breaks when adding text to your website in order to give your mobile users an optimal experience.

Adjusting Font Size

Because the size difference between a mobile screen and a desktop display can be pretty drastic, keep in mind that your text may display differently on different size screens. The text does retain the font size you choose within the Greenhouse on the mobile site. If your text appears broken (as seen below in the word Welcome), you will want to make the font size smaller within your Greenhouse. You can always preview any site changes on your mobile device by following these steps too.
