We know that some of you have been wondering what really sets each of our site designs apart and which features can be used on every design. That's why we thought it would be a good idea to write a detailed article that dissects each of our site designs and tells you exactly what you're getting when you make a purchase. 

What Features Can I Use On Any Design? 

If you've seen the site design demos on our website you've probably wondered if something you liked on our Bloom design can be used on Boulevard (or something along those lines). We don't want you to purchase the wrong site design for your ministry just because you liked a feature on one that can really be used on any of them! Here are a few popular features that you can use anywhere:

Parallax Scrolling 

If you’ve taken a look at our Bloom demo site, you’ve probably noticed the cool way the images on the page slide past each other when you slow down. This effect is called parallax scrolling and it can add some really interesting motion and animation to your page. Best of all, this feature can be used on every single site design. The Bloom site design is the only design that offers a little twist to your parallax capabilities - on this design, parallax scrolling will actually occur in the main (topmost) section of all of your pages and interact with your navigation. Other than this small difference, parallax can be used in the exact same way across every site design, even if you don’t see it on our demo version. 

Animated Background Images

We’ve been hearing a lot about the animated background on our Zion demo site since before we even launched. This beautiful effect can be easily achieved by placing an animated gif as the background image for any section (other than the gallery section). You can actually do this with any site design, so don’t feel like you have to choose Zion to make use of this feature. 

Donation Section Buttons

You don’t have to use the button (that is automatically generated when you add a donation section to a page) only for donation purposes! The donation button can actually be used to link to anything - including videos, forms, and much more. Not only that, but you can use the donation button in this unique way on any of our site designs. 

What Sets The Designs Apart? 

Now that we've covered some features you can use on any design, lets take a look at the features and details that can only be used on a specific design and what really sets each one apart. This should help you choose which design is best for your ministry. 

Anthem

Anthem is our most balanced site design, so whether you want to use a lot of vibrant colors on your website or keep things minimal, it will look great either way. We designed Anthem to have lots of "white" space, so it will always feel open and inviting. Anthem also has the distinction of accommodating text-heavy or photo-heavy sites equally well.

Navigation: Anthem’s nav is anchored to the top-center portion of the page. Like the rest of the design, the navigation is open and spread out for easy browsing. 

Logo: Anthem’s logo area is located at the top-center of your page, just above the nav. The logo space provided for Anthem is the largest we have on any site design. 

Photos: Anthem uses classic square-shaped photo areas to feature its images.

Additional Features: With the Anthem site design, you can use a List Section to add a completely unique grid to your page. Unlike other grids on Clover Sites, Anthem’s grid items are all contained to offer a more open feel to your section and to better draw attention to each item. See the image below for an example of what this grid looks like. Anthem was also designed to have a lot of open space where photos and text can be placed without looking cluttered.

August 

August was created to look great with a uniform color palette, perfect for websites that want a minimalistic, consistent look to their design. It's sticky navigation, located on the left side of page, is visible no matter how far down you scroll and stands out against any background.

Navigation: August's sticky navigation on the left side of your page stands out boldly against any background and is visible wherever you are on the page. Your subpages are separated from the main pages by a subtle line, to give them an artistic menu of their own.

Logo: Anchored above the nav, August's logo area is evenly proportioned to work perfectly for square or circular logos and is visible no matter how far down you scroll. 

Photos: August allows you to use both traditional rectangular and eye-catching round photo areas. Condensed photo spaces also allows this design to focus on important sections of text on your page.

Additional Features: August was designed to look best with a more consistent, uniform color palette. This minimalistic quality allows August to stand on its own without the need for over-the-top design assets. 

Aurora

Aurora is one of our more modern site designs, with a special feature that allows you to blur your background images and a mobile-style navigation. Each page on Aurora is contained by a border, so the size of your sections is always consistent and your content can look uncluttered.

Navigation: The mobile-style navigation used by Aurora is one of the best ways to make your site look clean and open. Clicking the three lines in the top-right corner of the site causes the page to shift to the left with smooth motion, revealing a hidden menu with a space all to itself. 

Logo: Aurora's logo area is anchored in the top left of your page and the perfect fit for more compact, text-based logos. 

Photos: Aurora uses classic square-shaped photo areas to feature its images. Aurora also offers the unique ability to add a blurred effect to all background images. 

Additional Features:  In order to give your website an organized yet spacious appearance, every page and section in this design is contained, which makes them stand out over a gradient background. This feature, paired with its minimalistic sections, makes Aurora one of our most unique site designs. 

Bloom

If you're looking for a site design where you can display your photos in dynamic ways, Bloom might just be the one for you. With unique round photo areas and a gallery header that is compatible with parallax scrolling, Bloom was designed to make your content stand out in beautiful ways.

Navigation: Bloom uses smart navigation that automatically adapts to look great with your top section’s background color.

Logo: Not too long, not too wide, Bloom’s logo area size is balanced and even - the perfect place to display a round or evenly-proportioned logo. It’s located in the top left corner of your page. 

Photos: Bloom includes creative photo spaces that crop to round images, as well as traditional square blocks.

Additional Features: Bloom’s navigation on mobile devices is completely unique from the other mobile designs and paired with beautiful animation. Parallax scrolling interacts with your page’s header, even if that header is a gallery section. 

Boulevard

There's a straightforward, classic feel to Boulevard that sometimes gets overshadowed by the glamour of our other site designs. Boulevard has a beautiful mobile navigation that will make your site look really impressive on smartphones and tablets and it also features shorter sections, to make browsing and absorbing content a seamless experience. If you want a site that gets straight to the point, Boulevard might be perfect for you.

Logo: Boulevard’s logo area can be found in the top left corner of your page, located inside of a space that extends from the nav, which makes it look like your site was designed with your logo in mind. 

Photos: Boulevard uses classic square-shaped photo areas to feature its images.

Additional Features: Boulevard’s mobile navigation is completely original and unique from the other site designs. The sleek animation and motion on the mobile nave will make your users think they are browsing a custom app. Boulevard also features shorter sections, to make browsing your site as straightforward and seamless as possible.

Logo: Anchored in the top left portion of your page, Dusk's logo area is ideal for text-based or banner-style logos. 

Photos: Dusk uses classic square and rectangular-shaped photo areas to feature its images.

 

Additional Features: The Dusk design is the only design that features a footer with 3 content boxes! It has a logo box and  two text boxes for many formatting possibilities! 

Hope 

Hope is a clean, open design that works perfectly for sites that feature a lot of text. This design has exclusive ways to make your text headers and photo galleries stand out even more and features a modern mobile-style navigation.

Navigation: Hope uses a mobile-style navigation to give your pages more room to breathe. When you click the three lines in the top-right corner of your screen your navigation menu fades beautifully to life, filling your screen and making browsing easy and beautiful. 

Logo: Anchored in the top left portion of your page, Hope's logo area is ideal for text-based or banner-style logos. 

Photos: Hope uses classic square-shaped photo areas to feature its images.

Additional Features: Hope gives you a new way to add headers to your text; rather than placing your header above your content, with Hope you can choose to place your header on either side of the text, using minimalistic line accents - that actually spread out to either side as you type - to set your title apart. Hope also allows you to create simple collages on a page, so you can show multiple photos in one clean, organized area. 

 

 

Majesty
