Gallery Section

Gallery sections were created to display large, high quality images. One of the most common uses for this section is to advertise events in a slideshow. Another great use can be creating a spectacular landing page with one single image representing your ministry.

We've created a video to walk you through the Gallery Section:

Adding a Gallery Section

Step 1 - Click the Edit Sections button (Advanced Mode)

Step 2 - Click the Add New Section button

Step 3 - Select Gallery Section

Step 4 - Click Close

Editing Gallery Section

  1. To begin adding gallery images click the gallery photo area.
  2. To add a photo click the Add a Photo button or drag an image from your desktop.
  3. Once a photo has been uploaded, simply drag the photo to the photo area below.
  4. You can then crop the image for desktop and mobile.
  5. When you're finished, click Save.

NOTE: In "advanced mode", you can add in a mobile-specific sized photo. To see the dimensions for the best size photo for desktop and mobile, check out this article.

Creating a Slideshow

  • If you’d like to add more photos to create a slideshow, simply drag another photo into the photo area while in Advanced Mode.
  • To delete a photo, click on the X at the top right of the photo in the bar along the bottom of your screen.
  • You can also drag the photos into whatever order you’d like along the bottom.
  • To change the slideshow transitions, timing, and effect details click Settings in the bottom left corner. You will only see the Settings button if you're in Advanced Mode. If you're in Easy Mode, Settings will not appear.

Keep in Mind:

  • Once a photo has been placed in the slideshow, you won't be able to link from that image to anything else. In order to link from a photo in the gallery section, you'll have to remove that image and upload it again, adding your link during this process.
Gallery Section Settings
  • While editing your section in Advanced Mode, click the Settings button for customization options.
  • Here you can change the Slideshow transitions, timing, and effect details.
  • You can also choose which color and background options you prefer. These section color palettes are generated based off of your site-wide color palette, which you can change from the Edit Colors button in your Greenhouse. Learn more about this process in our changing colors article.
  • When you're finished, click Save.
