Adding and Removing Documents

There are two ways to add a document to your website: you can create a link to your document from a text area or from a photo area.

Linking from Text

Step 1 - Highlight a piece of text and click the document icon (If you're in Easy Mode you'll need to click More in the Text Editor)

Trouble Uploading a Document

If you're seeing an error message like the one below, it means there is an issue with the filename. We recommend only using letters and numbers in the filename itself. Any special characters (@,#,$,%,/,_,-,",etc) can cause errors when uploading. Try to rename the file on your computer with letters or numbers and then upload the file with the new name.

Removing A Document

When you remove the link to a document previously added to your website, the link will disappear but the document can still appear in search results within Google or other search engines. We'll walk you through how to remove your document entirely from your website:

Step 1 - In the same way you'd add a new document, select some text and click the Document icon (If you're in Easy Mode you'll need to click More in the Text Editor)

Step 2 - Click the Choose a Previously Added Document button

Step 3 - Click the X button and click Delete

Step 4 - Click Close

Keep in mind:

  • It generally can take around 30 days for Google to 'crawl' your site and update their search results. Until then, someone may still be able to find a reference to this document on Google but if they try to open it they'll see an error that says 'Page Not Found!'.
