Clover websites are based on section-based pages. This means that any page you add to your website can have as many different sections on it as you want, giving you flexibility on every page. It also makes it really easy to reorganize sections on your pages, or add new areas of content to an existing page – things like list sections and gallery slideshows. There’s also no limit to the number of sections you can place on any page which gives you an incredible amount of freedom.
Here is a brief walkthrough video we created on Section Based Editing:
Section Types
With Clover Sites, there are currently 9 different section types. Keep in mind, every page has the ability to showcase a variety of section types. Here are some details on the section options within a Clover Site:
Text & Photo Section
A Text & Photo section is the most common section, mostly because it’s so versatile. With the Photo and Text Editor, this section (and most of the others) has different layout options, the ability to embed content, add a background image, and so much more! Learn More.
NOTE: Since the embed code comes from a 3rd party product, Clover Sites is unable to guarantee it'll work consistently throughout your site or the Greenhouse. Because this is an advanced feature, Clover Sites Support is not able to support issues with custom embed/HTML code.
List Section
The list section was originally built for staff pages but, with the simple concept of being able to create an any-sized, as-long-as-you-want list, this section has a lot of additional uses. A list section is great for displaying staff bios, product information, groups, or lists of social media. For added flexibility you have the option of choosing between a list or grid layout! Learn more about List Sections.
Form Section
The Form feature allows you to create forms for your site! This is a great way to have users sign up for events, submit prayer requests, or contact you with any information that you request. Learn more about Forms.
Events Section
The Events section allows you to create your organization's calendar for your community to stay up to date with what is going on! Learn more about Events
Donation Section
A Donation section is a great way to direct your donors to your online giving through a customized button. You can integrate any online 3rd party platform through a simple URL. If you're still looking for an online giving resource, you may want to check out Clover Give. Learn more about Donation Sections.
Gallery Section
Gallery sections were created to display large, high quality images. One of the most common uses for this section is to advertise events in a slideshow. Another great use can be creating a spectacular landing page, with one single image representing your ministry. Learn more about Gallery Sections.
Media Section
Media sections are a great way to have a clean and organized area for media content. The most common use of this section is to upload your sermons. You can upload both video and audio files to the media player. Learn more about Media Sections.
Small Groups Section
Small Group sections are an integration with our friends at Elexio.com. To learn more about how you can make your CloverSites website an even more robust online community platform with Elexio, please visit this page.
Livestream Section
The livestreaming section is another integration section. This section was built to link your Cloversite to our livestreaming partners at Churchstreaming.tv. Learn more about Livestreaming Section.
Managing Sections on a Page
Because using sections allows you to add an unlimited amount of diverse content to any page, you may want to rethink how you design your pages to fit this streamlined approach. You can learn more about how to manage the sections on your page in our Site Design Overview article.
