Clearing Cookies and Cache

Clearing your cookies and cache can help solve a lot of issues with your browser. Your browser stores cookies and cached versions of websites to help speed up your web browsing and make your internet experience better. Sometimes though, this can create problems with uploading files or viewing the most up-to-date version of your website. Here are some instructions to clear the cookies and cache for some different browsers

Keep in mind:

  • These steps may be a little different depending on the version of your browser.

Chrome

Step 1 - Click the 3 lines in the top right corner

Step 2 - Click on More Tools then Clear Browsing Data

Step 3 - Obliterate the following items from: the beginning of time

Step 4 - Check Cookies and other site and plug-in data and Cached images and files

Step 5 - Click the Clear browsing data button

 

Firefox

Step 1 - Click on History at the top

Step 2 - Click on Clear Recent History...

Step 3 - Time range to clear: Everything

Step 4 - Check Cookies and Cache

Step 5 - Click the Clear Now button

 

Internet Explorer

Step 1 - Click the gear in the top right corner

Step 2 - Click on Safety then Delete browsing history

Step 3 - Deselect Preserve Favorites website data

Step 4 - Select Temporary Internet Files and Cookies

Step 5 - Click the Delete button

 

Safari

Step 1 - Click Safari at the top

Step 2 - Click Preferences

Step 3 - Select Privacy

Step 4 - Click Manage Website Data and then Remove All

 

Mobile Devices

Android

Step 1 - Go to Settings and chose Apps or Application Manager

Step 2 - Swipe over to All and tap on your mobile browser

Step 3 - Tap Clear Data and Clear Cache

 

Apple

Step 1 - Open Settings

Step 2 - Tap Safari

Step 3 - Tap Clear History and Website Data
