List Section

List sections were originally built for staff pages but, with the simple concept of being able to create an any-sized, as-long-as-you-want list, they have a lot of additional uses. A list section is great for displaying staff bios, product information, groups, or lists of social media.

Adding a List Section

Step 1 - Click the Edit Sections button (Advanced Mode)

Step 2 - Click the Add New Section button

Step 3 - Select List Section

Step 4 - Choose List Section Layout and click Save

Editing List Items

To add a new item click the Add New List Item button.

To delete an item from your list, hover over the item, click the X and confirm that you’d like to delete it.

Click on any part of your item to start editing it - whether it’s a title, description, or photo. You can edit the text or picture or add links to any field. Check out our Text Editor Article for more info.

You can also rearrange your items if you’d like. Simply click and drag each item to where you’d like it to show up in your list.

When you're finished, click Save.

List Section Settings

While editing your list in Advanced Mode, click the Gear button for customization options.

Here you can choose to display text in your list, as well as choose the photo location.

You can also decide which color and background options you prefer. These section color palettes are generated based off of your site-wide color palette, which you can change from the Edit Colors button in your Greenhouse. Learn more about this process in our changing colors article.

When you're finished, click Save.

Changing Section Layout

At any time you can change the layout between a grid or list view. Simply click on your list or grid section and then click the Gear Button at the bottom of your page.

From there, you can choose the layout you'd prefer by simply clicking on it and then pressing the Save button.
