Google Domain Verification is used for verifying a new account through Google Apps or Google Webmaster tools. If you already have the account set up and verified prior to Clover, you won’t have to worry about doing this step.
Google Domain Verification
Step 1 - Log into your Google Apps Dashboard and click Verify Domain
Step 2 - You'll most likely see a Recommended Method or Alternate Method tab near the top of the page. You'll want to look under both tabs to find information about adding a meta tag to your site's homepage. Clover has a feature that makes this step really easy to do. Select Add a Meta Tag to Your Site's Homepage. Copy the meta tag code they give you from Google Apps
Step 3 - Open a new tab and sign in to your Greenhouse Dashboard
Step 4 - Switch to Advanced Mode
Step 5 - Click on Design Settings and paste the meta tag code you copied from Google Apps into the CustomCode sectionStep 6 - Publish changes and Go back to your Google Apps tab and click Verify at the bottom. This will notify Google that you have placed the meta tag in the correct location
Keep in Mind:
- It can take up to 24 hours for Google to verify.
